MCW Athena prototype on a Bedford VAM chassis. It has been suggested to me by John Kaye that after its less than stunning reception by companies it was reprofiled as a Metropolitan (the body shape is similar), given a new front and supplied to Horlock of Northfleet as its LKR 768F. No one is sure of the chassis of the Athena, but the Horlock vehicle was VAM14 chassis 6863282. John points out that its chassis was completely out of sync with the other Metropolitans being built.
